Here are 5 Simple marketing activities you can do without or very small budget.

1. LEAFLETING
This is probably one of the most common ways to promote, especially for small and new businesses. With this, you can even use old flyers and just erase or edit some information using a marker and a liquid eraser. Just bring a bundle of flyers, go to a good location and start distributing flyers.

2. SOCIAL MEDIA OR BLOG
We're all well aware of the power of social media and the internet. We've seen how people and brands have become popular after people saw a post about it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube or a blog site. With billions of people using the internet and browsing social media sites and checking out blogs regularly, there is indeed very good possibility for you to capture audience and convert them to buying customers simply by creating a social profile or blog for your business and posting about your products and services. And oh, it is totally free to create a profile or page on social media channels and same goes for creating a blog on blogspot, wordpress, tumblr and other blog sites.

3. EMAIL MARKETING
One good way to maximize your internet connection is by sending out emails to some email contacts or an email database (if you have one). There are different applications you can use to send out an email blast, but you are always free to simply use an existing gmail, yahoo or hotmail email account if you want. It is important to come up with a killer statement for the subject, so recipients will be interested to open the mail and read your message.

4. TEXT BLASTING
Telcos usually have promos that allow subscribers to text different networks during a certain duration. In case you have availed such promo and do not know how to consume your remaining SMS credits, using it to send out messages promoting your product or business may be a good way to make good use of those credits. You can try sending out the message to some contacts initially and ask them to forward it to people whom they think will be interested as well. That way, you don't only save credits, you also save a lot of effort in spreading the word.

5. MAIL DROPPING
This is somewhat similar to flyering, but this time, you don't distribute flyers in a busy area or location. Instead, you go to residential areas and drop your flyers in the mailbox or at the front door of every house. This is more physically challenging, but it is one step ahead of the usual flyering, as this time, the flyer goes straight to the house of people where they are more likely to pick it up and read the content.
