My Top 5 Picks for Best Job Search Sites in the Philippines

Online job search is a great way to find job opportunities from the comfort of your home. You can use job search engines, company websites, and social media platforms to search for available positions. Here are some sites that I personally use to look for job openings or opportunities, which you can also use to find jobs for yourself or for your loved ones:

1. Jobstreet
Jobstreet is a leading online job portal in Southeast Asia, connecting employers and job seekers across multiple industries. It offers a wide range of job opportunities, career advice, and recruitment solutions for companies. For me, one of the strengths of this platform is the capability to filter your search by salary range. Though we say that it's not always about the money, it's definitely better if we'll know how much the salary is before we even send an application.

2. Indeed
I personally think that this is the best place to look for job openings for high school graduates and college undergrads, as well as part-time and freelance jobs. Indeed is a popular job search engine that aggregates job listings from various sources such as company career pages, job boards, and staffing agencies. Users can search for job openings by location, industry, job title, and other criteria. The website also provides tools for job seekers to create resumes, save job searches, and receive job alerts.

3. Mynimo
Mynimo started as a job portal that caters only to companies and job seekers in Cebu. A few years after its establishment, it became a top choice among Cebu jobseekers, then expanded to also cater to companies and job seekers in Metro Manila.  You can browse through their website to find job listings and apply directly to the companies that interest you.

4. Facebook
Yes, you read that right. You can search for jobs on Facebook, too! I highly recommend this to people who are looking for jobs that does not require a college degree. Here's an easy step-by-step guide on how to search jobs on Facebook:

Step 1: On your Facebook app, click on the magnifying glass icon to open the search bar, then type keywords like hiring or jobs + your location.

Step 2: On the results page, click POSTS to exclude ads and irrelevant contents.

Step 3: Click the FILTER icon on the top right, then tick the checkbox for recent posts to exclude outdated posts. You should be able to see only recent job posts in your stated location after clicking on the SHOW RESULTS button.

5. LinkedIn
If you're tired of seeing irrelevant job openings when searching for job listings for a specific position, LinkedIn is the way to go. You can filter your search by location, industry, experience level, and more. Make sure your profile is up to date and complete to increase your chances of being noticed by recruiters. Unlike other popular job sites, LinkedIn will try to show you the most relevant results first, meaning you can expect that if you're looking for job openings for, say Accounting Staff, you can expect that you will not be shown a result flooded with call center jobs. In short, it gives you a more filtered list of job openings.
